A Ribeira Brava é um pacato município que fica localizado na costa sudoeste da Madeira. Esta localidade, que deve o seu nome à ribeira que a envolve, evidencia-se pelos seus vales bonitos e profundos e ainda pela sua praia de areia preta que é muito apreciada por turistas internacionais.
Nesta cidade, pode-se ainda visitar a Igreja de São Bento que é considerada por muitos como um dos mais bem preservados monumentos regionais e que apresenta diversas obras de arte que datam do século XVI.
Em Ribeira Brava os turistas podem também descontrair e passear pela esplanada da região que apresenta inúmeros cafés, restaurantes e muita animação. Foi precisamente nesta bonita região que eu experimentei a conhecida e deliciosa Poncha da Madeira - uma mistura de aguardente, mel de abelha e limão.
