Um dos espaços mais actuais, badalados e modernos de Madrid, é o Mercado de San Miguel. Este mercado que apresenta propostas "gourmet", abriu as suas portas em 1916 e depois de ter sofrido algumas obras de reestruturação, apresenta uma "cara renovada" e 30 bancas repletas de massas, peixes frescos, frutas, legumes e ainda enchidos. Trata-se do principal "point" gastronómico da capital espanhola e é um local cada vez mais procurado por turistas e residentes que apreciam boa comida e um ambiente informal.

OMG Helena, Mercado San Miguel is one of my favourite places in Madrid. The food there is so fresh and has a wide variety of Spanish food specialities like the ham, the yemas and those huge olives are delicious. I hope you enjoyed it too.
