Considerado o pulmão de Nova Iorque, o Central Park possui 341 hectares que se estendem desde a rua 59 à 110. Este bonito e imponente espaço verde foi inaugurado no ano de 1873 e desde esse momento tornou-se numa espécie de paraíso da natureza para os habitantes desta região que adoram passar momentos preciosos nesta zona da cidade. Este parque também serviu em diversas ocasiões, como cenário de inúmeros filmes de Hollywood como, por exemplo, os inesquecíveis "When Harry Met Sally", "Serendipity" ou "Sozinho em Casa II".
O Central Park é o local perfeito para parar, respirar fundo, relaxar e desfrutar de uma paisagem magnífica e por momentos enquanto nos rendemos à paz deste pequeno paraíso verde, até nos esquecemos que estamos numa das cidades mais movimentadas do Mundo.
Enquanto ia explorando este bonito parque, fui verificando que inúmeros bancos tinham placas de metal com mensagens. É emocionante ler algumas dessas mesmas inscrições e acaba por ser inevitável imaginar as histórias que estarão por trás de cada uma dessas dedicatórias tão sentidas.
